Description

Grandly scaled and richly carved, this rocker is a celebration of the woodworker's art. A reverse-tapered center splat carries intricate carving down the back, flanked by slimmer tapered splats, while carved detail repeats on the front and rear posts.

The drop-in seat is wrapped in supple leather for a comfortable perch, and a pierced cut-out in the bowed top rail doubles as a handle when you want to draw the chair closer to the fire. Limited first cuttings carry a numbered commemorative plaque, making it as much a keepsake as a favorite place to sit.

About the brand

American hardwood furniture, handcrafted since 1900

Stickley has been making furniture in America for 125 years, carrying on the Arts & Crafts legacy of Gustav Stickley and the cabinetmaking of his brother Leopold, the "dean of cabinet makers." Today the family-owned L. & J.G. Stickley builds premium hardwood furniture and fine upholstery with time-honored construction techniques from its home in Manlius, New York.

Stickley is best known for its white oak and cherry, sourced from Appalachian, Adirondack, New York and Pennsylvania forests that are growing faster than they are harvested, often from small family-owned woodlots it has worked with for decades. Pieces are intentionally overbuilt to last for generations, and every piece is backed structurally for the lifetime of the original owner.

Warranty

Manufacturer warranty

Stickley stands behind its furniture for the lifetime of the original owner: if a piece fails structurally at any time because of workmanship or material, Stickley will repair or replace it at its discretion, with a replacement of the same or similar color, design, style and quality if repair is not practical. Coverage begins when the piece is delivered to your home.

To make a claim, contact Seldens as your authorized Stickley dealer with your original sales receipt; you must be the original owner, and Stickley or the dealer may need to inspect the piece. Misuse or abuse voids the warranty, items sold as-is or final sale carry no warranty, and fabric mills do not guarantee the colorfastness or wear of fabrics.

Every piece is backed by its manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage varies by brand.
