Over her more than 24 years working in interior design, Brooke cites the individual nature of each new project — and of each client — as the reason this profession feels like her calling. “Being able to create different spaces for different people is what I love most about this work,” she says. “We are not all the same and our spaces should show our personalities or something that represents us or our families. I enjoy getting to know my clients so that, together, we can transform their space into a place they never want to leave.”

She approaches each of her projects methodically, ensuring that she has a solid understanding of what her clients are imagining and hoping for. “First, I like to sit down, sketch and talk about the specific ways they use their space,” Brooke says. “I ask questions about carpet, hardwood, wall colors and any existing pieces. The more information a client can give to me, the more I can help them be less overwhelmed with a project.”

When she isn’t on a project, Brooke enjoys being outdoors as much as possible. “Boating, cooking, entertaining — it just depends on the time of year.”
