Description

The Sofie Chair has the kind of honest, straightforward good looks that come from thoughtful proportion rather than decorative excess. Tapered wood legs lift the silhouette off the ground visually, keeping the piece feeling light even in a smaller room.

Why You'll Love It

  • Tapered legs are a detail that elevates the chair's look significantly, a chair that sits "on" its legs rather than hiding them always reads more intentional.
  • Friar Stone is a grounded, warm neutral that works in rooms already built around earthy, organic palettes.
  • Approachable scale makes it useful in bedrooms, sitting rooms, and office corners that need a comfortable, styled seat.

Why choose Jonathan Louis?

Family-owned upholstery, designed in California since 1985

Founded in 1985 by David Harrow, Jonathan Louis has grown into one of the largest upholstery manufacturers in the United States while staying family-owned and operated in California. Many of the designers and builders behind its sofas, sectionals, chairs and beds have been with the company since the beginning, and that experience shows in pieces made to be lived on, not just looked at.

Countless configurations, fabrics and leathers let you shape each piece to your room and your style. The Just Live performance fabric collection is built for real life: it exceeds 30,000 double rubs on the Wyzenbeek durability test, repels spills before they set, and cleans with simple soap and water, at no added cost. Select Jonathan Louis collections are also FSC-certified for responsibly sourced wood.

Warranty

Manufacturer warranty

Jonathan Louis covers its furniture against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser under normal residential use. For one year from the date of purchase, Jonathan Louis pays for the parts, labor and shipping needed to repair or replace a materially defective piece.

Warranty service is handled through Seldens as your retailer, so keep your receipt and contact us with photos of the issue. Natural markings and grain or color variation in leather and wood, wrinkling, fading, pilling, dye-lot differences, and damage from delivery, pets, heavy soiling, accidents or ordinary wear are not considered defects.

Every piece is backed by its manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage varies by brand.

Easy Care accident protection

For life's accidents — spills, pets, rips, burns — add our Easy Care protection plan for 5 years of coverage. Never use it? It converts to Seldens store credit toward your next piece.
