Description
Elana takes its shape from a few drawn out curves, which keeps a small square table from reading as a plain box beside a chair. It is solid hardwood through and through, finished board by board so the grain stays visible rather than buried under color.
Set it next to a sofa with a lamp and it does the everyday work of a side table, holding a book, a glass and whatever gets set down. The lacquer topcoat forms a hard, protective barrier that still feels close to the wood, so it takes daily use without looking coated.
