Helping clients create the look they’ve always wanted for their home comes down to one thing for Jill: listen, listen, listen. With more than 15 years of design experience, Jill has learned that people generally know what they don’t want in their home, and so it’s best to start the conversation there. Then it’s just a matter of knowing the right questions to ask to help people articulate the look and mood they’ve imagined. “And I always get them to laugh!” she adds.
“My inspiration comes from all over,” Jill says. “It could be a particular fabric or piece; it could be nature, or it could come from the personality of the client I’m working with.” But no matter what project she and her client are collaborating on, Jill maintains that her goal is always the same. “The most satisfying aspect of my role is to help make the world a more beautiful place for my clients — one room at a time.”
Jill has been with Seldens since 2009. When she isn’t helping her clients transform their homes, you’ll find her on the ski slopes, in an art museum or traveling.
