Very, very appreciative of your service
Dear Mr. Selden, It has been such a joy to work with Lindy that I have felt compelled to write to you to express our appreciation. For three or four years Walt and I have been working with Lindy as we have been completing the furnishing and interior design of our home. From draperies and furnishings to accessories and wall painting, Lindy has led us in perfect choices with her expertise, knowledge, and connections. Lindy has understood our style, needs, and financial pacing. She led our project by balancing the provision of great choices and the sharing of her opinion. We have learned to truly value Lindy's opinion. She knows what we want often before we can figure it out! Her attention to artistic aspects and detail has been of central importance. Additionally, Lindy kept us focused. When I'd tent to randomly bounce from project to project, room to room, she would skillfully re-direct us to complete rooms in a logical order. This kept things a little more sane and sensible. Lindy's organizational skills are also top-notch. On two occasions Lindy had a florist, an upholster, then a wall artist line up at our home like an airport traffic controller lines up planes ready for landing. We were able to coordinate several projects in an evening. With our busy schedule, this coordination has simplified our projects. Our home and its design have always been very important to me. Maybe I place too much significance in its appearance, but it has been thrilling to see the house come together, plan by plan... piece by piece. This is where we are most comfortable, where we choose to be. As we near completion, I am often struck how pleased we are at the outcome. We have spent a lot of our earnings on our home, perhaps disproportionately; but I smile when I walk through my home. We are very, very appreciative of Lindy and her professionalism. I wanted you to know.
Sincerely,
Mrs. C. Bigby
Selden's knows how to take care of their customers
To Whom It May Concern: I thought it would be of value to provide both of you with my experience of doing business with your companies. The experience we enjoyed with Selden's is opposite of an experience with Ethan Allen. In 2002, my wife and I relocated to Seattle, Washington. We purchased a new home and were in need of additional furniture. We had always respected the Ethan Allen brand; so, we visited the showroom in Tukwila. We had a very pleasant experience. We were introduced to an exceptional Sales Person, Dana. Dana made several trips to our home and sold us a complete living room of furniture. A few years later we decided to replace our family room furniture and again made Ethan Allen our destination. We were informed that Dana had left the company and so with the help of a different Sales Person, we put together the purchase of a complete family room. When we received the furniture we were not pleased with the color of the couch. As we discussed our disappointment with the Sales Person; we were told nothing could be done. We were amazed by the attitude, lack of understanding and willingness to find a solution. After living with the couch for a year, we decided to have it replaced. Our first stop was not Ethan Allen; but, SELDEN'S. We purchased a couch along with an executive desk. We were very pleased with their service and when there were issues with the desk and we asked for a refund, there was no hesitation refunding our money. They know how to take care of their customers. Gentlemen, above I have listed the facts. I will return to Selden's for my future furniture needs and will share my experience with friends and business associates. I operate a mid size business (1,000 employees) in the Seattle area and can tell you, it takes forever to earn a customer and only one bad decision to lose one. I hope this information helps both of you as your build your strategy for customer service.
Sincerely yours,
B. Ware
My husband and I want you to know what a stress free and pleasant experience we had selecting our new furniture and also the delivery of the furniture and accessories. We feel Stromberg, B. went above and beyond what most decorators would do to make sure we felt comfortable with the selections we made with her guidance. She came to our home on her day off to make sure the furniture would fit our space and in so doing reassured us it would look beautiful, and it does! We are so pleased with the new look and it is so comfy too. We feel as though we have made a new friend. She was here the day of delivery, placed it all and gave us help with hanging the art pieces and the mirror. That's what we call great service. The delivery guys were fantastic. Ours was not an easy delivery, our driveway is steep requiring them to carry all the pieces up the driveway and then up to our living level on the second floor. They were so careful not to damage the furniture and the walls, having to make a difficult turn on the landing with a very heavy sofa. They were both very pleasant and professional, oh and I will add it was raining that day. We want you to know how very much we appreciate the great service your staff gave us. KUDOS to all of them. We have been Selden's customers over the years and we will certainly continue that practice.
Sincerely,
Great Service
Hello, I just wanted to let you know what great service I received from Margaret Jones at your store. When I walked in your store, she eagerly greeted me and was enthusiastic to help me find the right sofa in my price range. Unlike the sales personnel in some other high end showrooms I visited, who didn't pay me much attention because I am young (I guess they thought I couldn't afford anything in the store), Margaret was very friendly and helpful. She was also knowledgeable about the products, and in fact, I decided to buy the same sofa she has in her home. The sofa arrived yesterday, and I couldn't be happier with it. Please see to it that Margaret's manager receives this message.
Thank you!
